Precisely in the 1980’s some of the young social activists being inspired by the noble dream of Jay PrakashJi and touched by the griefs of poor marginalized communities of Kalahandi who were mostly exploited by the gauntias/landlords, made a conscious choice to work for these underprivileged people.They have the clear mandate to work to combat distress sale & mortgage of land and migration. They had envisioned that each household should have own land to cultivate and earn sufficiently to lead dignified life.During the passage of time they wished to concentrate their efforts in a organized manner for better efficacy.
